Jared Michael Adelman, B.C.S., Esq. is a Board Certified Criminal Trial Law Attorney with over 14 years of experience in litigation. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami College of Law in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Legal Studies, from the University of Central Florida in 2007.
At Moody & Graf., Jared focuses his practice on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on construction law and complex, multi-party construction defect disputes. He is committed to guiding clients through the intricate legal landscape of construction litigation, helping them resolve disputes efficiently and effectively. With his extensive trial experience, Jared works to develop strategic solutions tailored to his clients’ needs, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcome.
Prior to joining Moody & Graf, Jared served as an assistant public defender for the Ninth Circuit of Florida in Orlando, where he represented clients in both County and Circuit Courts, focusing on serious felonies. He has acted as a division leader and supervisor, initiated discovery processes, conducted numerous depositions—including those of expert witnesses, children, and law enforcement—and has been lead or co-counsel in approximately 80 trials. Additionally, Jared has drafted multiple briefs for the 5th District Court of Appeals.
Beyond his professional commitments, Jared is deeply involved in the community. He has been a part of Orange County Teen Court since 2002, serving as President of the executive board of Teen Court and Teen Alternatives, Inc. His dedication earned him the Founders Award in 2016 and the Presidential Award for Community Service. Jared is also an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Central Florida Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Tiger Bay Club of Central Florida, and the League of Women Voters.
A Central Florida resident since 1997, Jared enjoys spending his leisure time as a passholder at Disney and Universal, playing chess, bowling, and participating in animal rescue and fostering.
